Terms and Conditions

Event Overview

Welcome to the Merry Learners Workshops! We are thrilled to provide a fun, engaging and inspiring experience for young minds through a variety of exciting educational activities.

Please take a moment to read the following terms and conditions to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. By making payment, you agree to these booking conditions.

Eligibility

This event warmly welcomes all primary school aged children.

Registration and Payment

To secure your child’s place, please book in advance through our online registration system. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Payment must be made at the time of booking to confirm your place. We are unable to accept cash or card payments on-site.

Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation email detailing your booking.

Health and Safety

Your child’s safety and wellbeing are our highest priority. During registration, please let us know about any medical conditions, allergies, additional support needs, or other important information we should be aware of.

If your child requires an EpiPen or specific medication, this must be communicated in advance and arrangements agreed prior to the session.

Merry Learners is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment. A qualified first aider will be present, and in the event of an emergency, appropriate first aid will be administered and emergency services contacted if required.

Safeguarding and Professional Standards

Merry Learners is led by a fully qualified primary teacher who is GTCS registered, PVG checked, and fully insured.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all children. All sessions are delivered in line with current child protection guidance and positive behaviour approaches to ensure children feel safe, respected and supported at all times.

Code of Conduct

At Merry Learners, we are committed to creating a respectful, welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all.

We use positive reinforcement to encourage good behaviour and help children make thoughtful choices. Should behaviour significantly impact the safety or experience of others, we may contact parents or guardians and request early collection if necessary.

Merry Learners proudly upholds children’s rights and promotes kindness, fairness and care for ourselves and others at all times.

Photography and Media Release

We’re excited to have your child join us at our event! By attending, you’re giving us permission to take photos or record moments that we can share on our social media. As a company in its early stages, capturing these moments really helps us grow and connect with our community.

If you'd prefer your child not to be in any photos, no worries at all, just let us know before the event, and we’ll make sure to respect your wishes. Thank you for being part of our journey!

Workshops in Pandamonium: Soft Play Supervision During the Session

During the workshop, including our allocated soft play time at Pandamonium Play Centre, children will be in the care and supervision of Cat from Merry Learners.

The session will be based in the gaming room for learning activities, with a dedicated soft play period included. During soft play, I will supervise from ground level. Children will be shown clearly where to find me and can come directly to me at any time if they need help, feel unsure or upset, feel unwell, or need the toilet.

To help ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment, children are expected to:

  • Remain within the agreed session areas
  • Follow instructions from Cat (Merry Learners)
  • Let me know if they need help or feel unwell
  • Check in before leaving the group for any reason

Children should not leave the session to look for a parent or carer independently. If a child needs to be collected early, this must be arranged directly with Cat (Merry Learners).

Parents and carers remain responsible for their child before drop-off and after collection. At the end of the session, children will only be released to the named adult provided at registration unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance.

By booking a place, you acknowledge that your child will be under the supervision of Merry Learners for the duration of the workshop, including during use of the soft play facilities.

Use of Soft Play Facilities

As part of this workshop, children will take part in a supervised soft play session at Pandemonium Play Centre.

While Merry Learners provides supervision and guidance throughout the session, the soft play equipment and facilities remain the responsibility of the venue. Children are expected to follow the centre’s soft play rules at all times.

Soft play involves active movement and play, and by booking a place you acknowledge that minor bumps or scrapes may occasionally occur as part of normal play. Any incidents will be managed promptly and appropriately, and parents or carers will be informed if necessary.

Cancellations

In the unlikely event that a session must be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, such as severe weather, illness, or venue issues, we will reschedule the event and inform attendees of the new date.

If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, we will provide a voucher to use for a future Merry Learners event.

If your child is unable to attend for any reason, you may transfer their place to another child. Please contact us in advance so we can update our records.
